The Peoples' State is a cooperative exercise in sharing, personal development, and the very best systems being applied to the problems of the Peoples' State. The problems are those of any society; managing the food chain, the needs of the growing population, the need for a defence of the society from enemies within and without,
The Hismorcan people have lived in the south Estron peninsula for hundreds of years, ever since
the region was a colony of the Fenizic sultanates, but being a blend of peoples from the area,
and Feniz, they have their own unique culture and society.
The Castronovian lands are mostly plains, with few hills. The climate is temperate, with up to 150mm of rains a year in most places. Thus, the land is fertile and good for crops, but has little mineral wealth for the people to depend upon.
The Peoples' State is the fruit of the blood of the martyrs, the resistance of the Castronovian people and the sweat of their labours. Once the heroes of the Peoples' Army routed the armies of the capitalist aggressors, the people are free to develop the utopian state, free from the exploitation they had known for hundreds of years under a great number of foreign invaders. With the strength of the Peoples' Army, with assistance from other truly free peoples around the globe, the Peoples' state was established.
The Peoples' State is a cooperative, in which all members are equal, all sharing the labours and the rewards, the fruits of their labours. Those who cannot toil are cared for. Those who deliberately act against the social good are expelled. All are provided with the basic requirements for life according to their needs, be it clothing, food or shelter.
In the Peoples' State, there is no capitalist endeavour. Capitalism is rejected as a tool of exploitation, and exploitation is the result of rejecting the basic principle that all people are equal. If all are equal, then there cannot be those who profit more from an endeavour than the majority who supply their labour. There cannot be those who supply only the perverse fruits of their previous exploitations in order to exploit yet another group of labourers, if all are equal.
With capitalism not the structure used in the Peoples' state, there is no business cycle, no
depressions, no boom and bust cycles, no unemployment, and all who share in the Peoples' State
share in the fruits of the State.
Under the Peoples' State, the workers are free to develop their own potential as human beings, and sharing of skills and knowledge is considered paramount within the effective society. Development of a wide range of skills not only makes an individual more resourceful, but enables them to have a greater understanding and empathy with others in their society.
All adults must attend at least a little re-education: 18 days a year, and may attend as much as is their need. Courses range from passing on skills, to university-level courses. Education is now in the hands of the People, not the Elite, so now all who wish further education are encouraged to pursue it.
The economy of the Peoples' State is now firmly under the control of the People, which
means that all produce is managed by the Peoples State and by the collectives. Agricultural
produce is shipped to distribution centres by the Peoples' State, distributed in accordance
with the needs of the people. As they are controlled by the People, prices are now stable,
and shortages are a thing of the past.
All housing is also now nationalised, with few exceptions, allowing the People to move from the slums that dotted the outlying suburbs of cities such as Rahbar, and into apartments. Clothing is now distributed by the People, according to need. There will now no longer be a disparity between the clothing of the rich and the poor.
Medical treatment is supplied free of charge, as is electricity and water -- to certain
limits determined by need. They are supplied to almost every apartment block and house
in the country.
All of these basics to life will be provided by the state in exchange for the peoples' labour for the benefit of all people on the farms, the factories, the offices. But, the people are supplied with monies for discretionary spending. The essentials, food and clothing, are supplied to each registered household, in accordance to the need, distributed by local offices of the Peoples' State. But, employees will receive a given wage to be spent as they see fit. Vacations, house furnishings, and other non-essential items may be purchased from stores all over the country. These stores are supplied by the Peoples' State, and must sell their goods at designated prices, thus preventing inflation, the scourge of the capitalist system.
While the people have gained mightily from this new organisation, this free state, the
bankers and landowners, denied millions of toiling slaveworkers whom they could enslave with
debts and useless consumer products, and denied the land they exploited and ravaged for their
own perverse desires and profits, have continually recruited more willing slaves for their war
against the truly free Castronovian people. For this reason, the Peoples' Army has been created
to defend the people from the assaults of the enemies of freedom.
The greatest day in the history of the Peoples' Army has been the successful defence against the capitalist marauders who had used the Cimeran city of Haliso as a stronghold for their unwarranted invasion of the Peoples' State. With only the few weapons they could find, the valiant citizens of freedom stood firm against the aggressors as they hurled their missiles from afar, not wanting to suffer casualties of their own.
The Peoples' Army stood firm in their defence, and are celebrated in the history of the Peoples' State. LONG LIVE THE FRUIT OF SACRIFICE OF THE SOCIALIST MARTYRS!!
The Peoples' State is not yet a complete project. There remains much to be done to provide the people with their every need or desire. There is yet much more to be done to ensure the security of the Peoples' investment of their labours in this near-Utopia, and the free peoples have many enemies that yet need to be vanquished.
But, the people are strong, and they will complete the task of building the greatest Utopia that will break down the resolve of those serving the bankers, capitalists and land owners.
