Do the PPS not want peace?
The PPA is fully committed to ending any conflict with the Rovenian government, and we have
absolutely no desire to see such conflict continue or recommence. However, The Peoples' Army
has resolved to absolutely defend the Peoples' State to the last, and on this point there
can be no compromise.
Why not then surrender your weapons and integrate with Rovens-proper?
While there is an apparent end to the violent hostilities between the Rovenian government and
the Peoples' Army, this does not mean that the ruling classes will allow the Peoples' State
to exist. There will always be pressure applied seeking a dissolution to the Peoples' State,
and an end to the innumerable gains made by the People over the forty years of their valiant
resistance. The People have true democracy, they have true freedom, and they are guarded
against the encroachment of the ruling classes who would seek to entrap them in the capitalist
cycle, once again. Clearly the Ruling Class of Bankers, land-owners and profiteers cannot
allow this resistance to continue. We, therefore, foresee a time when the conflict will be
renewed when they see that our people are not moved. The Peoples' Army MUST be able to defend
the interests of the people against this forthcoming aggression.
What are the achievements of the people that should be so defended?
When you are sick, do you have to pay to see a doctor, to have an operation, to be in intensive
care for a month? Do you have to pay for insurance to have this paid for? Will you see a doctor
immediately, or will you be forced to wait in long queues for medical attention? When you send
your child to school, who pays for the books, pays school fees or pays for the uniforms the
students wear? When you want to further your education by taking night classes, will you have
to pay the school fees? Will you get time off work for these classes? When you are seeking
new housing, who pays for it? If you cannot afford decent housing, will the state provide a
standard of housing that is equal to the greatest in your society? If your children need new
shoes, clothes or schoolbooks, who will pay for these? What if you have no money for food?
For most so-called "liberal democracies" the answers to these questions is that YOU
pay for these things. These are essential keys to civilisation, yet they are in the hands of
the capitalist, the bankers, the landowners and the profiteers. You must not only pay for
the service, but must pay for the profit that the owner of this venture will accumulate in
their fattened bank accounts.
The alternative was made the very foundation of the Pataki Peoples' State. All things
are supplied by the state, including free education, free health, free rent and free and
equitable food supply, according to need, not desire. You do not need to pay for these
services, only be a resident of the PPS. All groceries, all medical costs, all educational
costs, all time off needed to complete adult courses, all entertainment, is supplied by the
People for the People, without consideration to "costs".
There is no debt slung about your neck as a burden into your old age. No creditors
demanding their payment in excess of your earnings each month. There are no medical bills that
bankrupt families, and no educational standard available only to the rich. There is no one
dictating whether you are of the "right standard" to live in their neighbourhood, and no
racism, sexism, homophobia or religious intolerance. All people are equal, and all are given
according to their needs, not their willful desires.
Education of the People is paramount, so courses are freely provided, and freedom is
regarded the highest quality.
Now, ask yourself: if you lived in such a utopian state, would you not
want to defend it to the last?
Will the PPA allow "democratic elections" in the PPS?
The so-called "democratic institution" of free elections has been so often discredited as
simply a means for the ruling classes to legitimise their rule over the landless peoples of
the majority, and, as such, the PPS and PPA will have no part in this deception. Elections
are neither free nor a true representation of the will of the population. From the first
moment they are called in all capitalist states around the world, the political parties
commence with their pointless vying and jostling for position in the minds of voters,
constantly insulting and belittling their opponents in the race for votes, and spending vast
quantities of money doing so. They never, however, place much consideration on the needs of
their constituents, instead, their need for funding places them squarely in the sights of the
landowners, bankers and industrialists who seek to have their stranglehold on the population
strengthened. Labour laws are abolished, health and education starved of funding or placed in
the hands of these same interests.
As none of this is to the benefit of the people, elections are not held in the Pataki
Peoples' State. The population have their voice heard through the mechanism of the Peoples'
Army instead.
So, who DOES govern in the PPS?
"Govern", no one. None in the Peoples' State is greater than anyone else, and none are supplied
with more than their fellow citizen. Consequently, all govern, all lead, and all follow.
The leadership that is provided to the nation's resource management institutions are the
lowest servants of the people, providing the leadership to the administrative workers in these
institutions so that the workers can provide the necessary resource management and allocation
to the majority.
The greatest servants of the people are the leaders of the Secretariats, a group of nine
who are guided by the Representative Assembly of the Peoples' Army. In the Assembly are people
from all aspects of the Peoples State: teachers, officers, medical staff, professors,
administrative workers, entertainment providers, industrial workers, farmers and storekeepers.
Are there civil rights in the PPS?
The population of the Peoples' State are more free than in any "Liberal democracy". There is
no discrimination within the Peoples' State. Women are equally permitted to rise to their
greatest level of achievement, as are men. Religion is wholehearted tolerated, and their
opinions listened to and weighed by the Peoples' Army. Each individual is allowed, indeed
encouraged, to become as much as they can be through the means made available by the Peoples'
State. Homosexuality is nowadays accepted -- a permanent condition or a temporary preference
is of no concern to the Peoples' State -- and couples are permitted to marry as legally as
heterosexual couples.
Why is the PPS so determined to prevent its merger into Rovens-proper?
The Peoples' State will never "merge" with the so-called Peoples Republic, because this would
represent a loss of democratic autonomy for the Pataki people. Rather than governing
themselves, rather than dictating their own patterns of resource management, the Pataki
people would again be at the mercy of the bankers and capitalists that would return to
exploit them. Jobs would no longer be plentiful, but determined by the labour needs of the
industrialists. Food supplies would no longer be guaranteed, but be at the mercy of the need
of the landowners to "make a profit". These are gains that the Peoples' Army has made with
the very blood of our martyrs, and shall not be surrendered.
What does the PPA have against capitalism?
- Exploitation of the workers, who provide the necessary resources to mine, grow or build
the product, but are provided with only a meagre portion of the price paid for the
product. Instead, the capitalist, the landowner and the banker take the "profits" of this
transaction and fill vaults with them.
- These same workers will pay as much as five times the amount for the product of their
labour as they themselves were paid for its production, with "hidden costs" being blamed.
It is little more than profiteering.
- The same workers will then be bought out of the land passed from generation to generation
by extortionist land taxes, and the land will be provided to the same cadre of bankers,
industrialists and landowners who cheated them of the rightful fruits of their labours.
- And by so doing, the power, the wealth and the resources will slowly be drawn toward
a meagre selection of the wealthiest men (rarely women) of the capitalist system. These
will then live on the fruits of their exploitative systems, while the masses live in
poverty and deprivation, while it is fully-known that the land and the mother Vexillium
can supply every need of every person on the planet to a population beyond twice the
current levels.
Communism is just a military dictatorship. Discuss.
This may be the case, but then the Peoples' State should not be regarded as "strictly communist".
Though the "communist" label is often thrown at the Peoples' State, it is in fact a truly
democratic and enlightened system of resource management and service provision that is
unrivalled by the so-called "liberal democracies" of the world. The people are free, all
resources are made available according to need, not greedy desire, and medical, educational,
construction and all other services are supplied free to the population.
In the Peoples' State, the people run the country, and the people rule. The Peoples'
Army, the instrument of the will of the population, advises the Administrations and
Secretariats of the needs of the people, to which the Secretariats and Administrations tend.
Though named the Peoples' Army, the PPA is merely the instrument of the
popular will, and the defender of the Peoples' rights and gains under the Peoples' State, and
not an overlord that rules them.
Is it true there is no television in the PPS?
Television IS banned in the Peoples' State because of the opiate-like effect on the population,
and because it is a tool of propoganda by the capitalists to keep the working masses of the
world enslaved in the capitalist structures of the ruling classes.
Radio is provided freely by the Peoples' State, as are entertainment centres, such as
theatres and cinemas, and alcoholic beverage suppliers ("bars") are also available.
How are laws enforced in the PPS?
The Pataki Peoples' Army Home Defence Militias include the Peoples' Law enforcement units.
These administrators of the legal code are empowered to make their own decisions as to the
immediate consequences of law breaking, and as to whether the individual intended to break the
law or was merely careless. If an individual is found to have simply careless, they may be
fined, or required to serve their free time in productive or reparatory exercises. For
example, a careless driver may be ordered to mend a fence there and then by the Officers of
the Peoples' Law enforcement units.
If found to be deliberately contravening the Peoples' law, an individual is
incarcerated, evaluated as to their repentant state, and, if not at all repentant, put through
a re-education programme. Individuals who fail to learn the lessons of their re-education are
simply kept in the programme until the professional evaluators are certain that the individual
is a suitable candidate to return to society.
It is known that certain individuals prefer to live against the will of the People, and
are determined to destroy themselves or others in their folly. The professional evaluators
have two options: should such an individual be a danger to no one, only a recalcitrant or
permanently disturbed individual who cannot fit into Peoples' State society, then banishment
is considered the best solution. Individuals that show a distinct inclination toward
anti-social tendancies, who are a danger to themselves or others, and there is
apparently no options for reform through re-education, such individuals are executed. The
People must be protected from the genetic abberations who cannot live in a civil society.
