Army
Personnel	Number	Details
Trained personnel	216,100	The combined manpower of the GIF, the Dependency Defence Force and the Dependency militia was over 600,000, of which 90,000 were of Utanian origin. These form the backbone of the trained personnel. The other 60,000 have, by now, received 6 months of intensive training from Utanian and UNVCOCN trainers, and have voluntarily joined the Army. In addition, over 40,000 of these men have served in the UPF in Dignania, providing extensive field experience. The 83,000 conscipts have been replaced with volunteers.

Artillery	531	Artillery items for heavy infantry battalions
88mm Artillery	2,000	Surplus Zartanian 88mm artillery pieces, Utania has 2,000 of these guns which can be employed as anti-vehicle guns or small field artillery. These were once used as anti-tank guns, but would not be effective against many modern tanks. With aerial capability, these guns can fire up to 6km into the air, useful against slow planes (not against modern fighter jets, unless you're really lucky).

Amphibious Armoured vehicles	13	Some form of experimental vehicle by the Guwimith Dependencies Security Forces, to traverse the wetlands of the coast, these amphibious craft can travel short distances in water. Used for troop transport. Development continuing in Scorpion project.
Scorpion Armoured Vehicle	330	Now the Scorpion production run in Zartania is complete, Utania has 400 of these Utanian and Zartanian joint-design armoured vehicles of a variety of types: infantry support, anti-air and infantry carriage.
Infantry Support Armoured	39	Small gun armoured vehicles often mistaken for tanks, they are infantry support vehicles used in heavy infantry battalions.
Armoured Vehicle	54	Core vehicle for mechanised infantry units, the armoured vehicle has a mounted machine gun, medium armour, for protecting infantry.
Armoured Mobile Anti-aircraft Vehicle (AMAV)	15	AMAV's are another core unit to mechanised infantry, providing anti-aircraft defenses to a mobile infantry battalion.
Armoured Tank	31	Armoured, large calibre gun, machine gun, all-terrain, the core of the Armoured battalions and divisions. These date from between 260 and 285, but as the GIF only had 154 tanks, Utania receives only 31.
Armoured Tank (Zartanian)	100	The Zartanian M1 main battle tank is a high power armoured vehicle designed for leading the combat, particularly against enemy armoured vehicles. It can also be used as artillery, with a 4km range on its 120mm gun. The tanks have a tactical range of 275km and can reach a top speed of 70kph.

General Helicopters	7	General purpose helicopters, these were mostly used for patrol and transport.
Assault Helicopters	6	Six choppers with attack capability, equipped with small rockets and chain-mechanism, rapid-fire machine guns
Orkeka Assault Helicopters	60	Utanian-designed "lightning" attack helicopters, the Orkeka will be the core of Utania's "rapid reaction" division. Equipped with eight anti-tank missiles, 24 rockets and a chain-fed, rapid-fire machine gun in the nose, the Orkeka's are designed to be a formidable opponent for any advancing tank columns.
Transport Helicopters	12	Four helicopters from c259 AP, used to transport up to 40 men, but with little or no defensive capability of their own.
Transport and surveillance Aircraft	12	Heavy transport planes, from c260, with four that have been fitted with surveillance equipment for ground observation.

Trained personnel	21,800	Sailors, submariners, port staff, supply staff, the 69 ships of the Utanian Navy are staffed by competent crews of between 3 (Marine landing craft) and 1427 (Battleship). These now form the core of the naval fighting force.
Conscript (Reservist) personnel	15,400	Serving as military guards, storemen and other shore-based staff, few conscripts are sea-going, but there is some acting as technicians and other specialists.

Landing Support ships	None (2)	Plans have been unveiled for the construction of two such ships. No details yet available.
Battleships	1	One warship, the Ovansk (239ap) goes to Utania, and renamed the "UDK Krysaror"
Cruisers	5 (1)	Command-class missile Cruisers from Zartania; 5 now, one more in 304ap.
Destroyers	9	Missile destroyers (2) acquired from overseas, and four conventional destroyer, c255ap. Three King Bruno II class missile destroyers purchased from Zartania. Zartania upgraded all four conventional destroyers to missile technology (301-3ap)
Submarines	4	Submarines, two UNV-purchased with equipped with anti-aircraft missile capability, and two conventional torpedo subs. All are diesel-powered.
Missile Frigates	10	Acquired by the GIF in the 270's and 280's, the ships have been somewhat upgraded. Six more Seadragon I (missile-upgraded) frigates
Helicopter Frigates	5	Acquired recently by the GIF, these are newer vessels with more recent technology.
Large resupply and cargo ships	8	Varying greatly in size, these are the supply lines for the travelling navy
Troop Transport, hospital and support ships	5	Ships designed to carry soldiers, healthy or wounded, and their cargo, such as armoured vehicles, etc...
Marine Landing Craft	6	Capable of carrying one platoon of marines, these craft date from the 250's, but are in good condition.
Small multi-purpose ships	30	Small craft, no larger than a gunboat, these are the tugboats, supply craft and general service vessels.
Coast Guard (90)

Light Helicopter Frigates	3	Recently acquired from the Lendosan Confederation, these were surplus vessels with more recent technology, but little armament. Primarily for search and rescue, and non-combat military roles.
Gunboat	21	Six of which were recently acquired from the Lendosan Confederation. These are employed to protect the Utanian coastline from smaller vessels. They are equipped with 88mm machine guns, and 4-inch naval artillery guns.
Missile Boats	13	Five boats recently acquired from the Lendosan Confederation, and five more explicitly for coastal air and anti-naval defenses. Three are former Guwimithian. All are equipped with sea-to-sea and/or sea-to-air missile systems. Small but lethal.
Patrol Boats	33	Small, fast, lightly armoured and equipped, these vessels date from the 250's to the 270's, but are in good condition.
Small multi-purpose ships	20	Small craft, no larger than a gunboat, these are the tugboats, supply craft and general service vessels.
Airforce (140)

Trained personnel	13,000	From groundcrews, to pilots, guards or supply crews, the airforce has a small but well-trained personnel force. Seventy pilots are trained to pilot the Firecat jet fighters.

Transport Jets (Klagstein-0990c)	5	Purchased second-hand in the 90's, the GIF transport jets were used to ferry supplies to and from the Dependencies and Guwimith island. Capable of carrying up to 640 personnel or some 710 tonnes of cargo or equipment, the Klagstein-0990c cargo jet is the core of the military transport fleet.
Combat Aircraft (138)	Number	Details
Tactical Fighters	21	Fighter aircraft dating from the 50's, these propeller-based fighters are no match for the modern jet, but may still be useful as trainers.
Tactical Fighter Jets (Firecats)	64 (116)	Fighters recently built in Guwimith Imperial factories in Luka, the "Firecats" are now Utanian fighters in lieu of other jet craft of the GIF. The Firecats were designed and constructed in the early 90's as a replacement for the older 70's jet fighters. The present design has a production run of 180 jets planned.
Tactical Fighter Jets (Espectro II)	100	Fighters leased from the Lendosan Confederation, the Espectro II fighters are fast and maneuverable. They are late 80s design, but early 90s build, and provide the bulk of the Utanian air defence system.
High altitude Bombers	12	All purchased from Zartania, these bombers, with a crew of five, can carry up to 32 tonnes of munitions up to 15km altitude, and 14,160km range, at a maximum speed of 1046 kph. The bombers have infra-red flare, and chaff dispensers countermeasures. With monitoring equipment aboard, two of these bombers, in two hours, can monitor 364,000 sq.km (~600km squared) of ocean surface.
Mid-flight refueling planes	7	All purchased from Zartania, these planes will extend the patrol duration or range of fighter squadrons, or bombers, by refueling them in the air.
