Diplomatic communications

The Department of Diplomatic Relations is charged with the responsibility of maintaining good relations with the various nations across the globe, and providing embassies for key points of contact for Utanian nationals and foreign governments.

The President of Utania is directly responsible for the Department and provides for it the necessary policy directives to continue their function. Utania's parliament has ordered for a three-tier diplomatic relations policy to be implemented, which provides for (a) Key allies, (b) Nations with whom Utania is intensely developing a mutually beneficial relationship (c) Nations with whom Utanian interacts freely and positively, and (d) nations with whom Utania has a lower level of contact, with whom Utania does not trade or greatly interact, as they maintain a distinctly different philosophy than Utania.
